We have three plaques around the College which were made by The Cardozo Kindersley Workshop. The workshop continues today to promote the Arts and Crafts inspired ethos of hand-craftsmanship and creative independence.
The beautiful plaque outside the library formally renamed the purpose built space in 2001 following the sudden death of Dr Sylvia West, College Warden, from pneumonia.
At the turn of the 21st century, Lida Lopes Cardozo spoke about the similarities between architecture and letter carving:
"Both share the basic principles of living: freedom and discipline, beauty and usefulness."
